Is this connected to my Seller Central account?

No. Mettra MCP reads market data — public listings, history, search results — and runs calculations. There is no Seller Central connection to make, no OAuth screen and no permission to grant on Amazon's side.

Can my AI place orders, change my listing or touch my ad campaigns?

No. The server exposes nine read-and-calculate tools. None of them writes to Amazon. The only thing an assistant can change is the product tracker inside your own Mettra workspace.

What does it actually cost?

The MCP add-on is $13 a month for a pack of 50 tool calls, or $130 a year. It needs an active paid Mettra plan, which starts at $49 a month, so the minimum is $62 a month in total — or $39.83 a month billed yearly. You can add as many packs as you need.

What happens when I run out of calls?

Calls stop until you add another pack or your billing period rolls over. One request equals one tool call, and failed calls are not charged. Listing audits and keyword research also draw on the audit quota that comes with your plan.

Which AI tools does it work with?

Any client that speaks the Streamable HTTP transport. We have run Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor against the production server ourselves; other clients use the same configuration block, we simply have not tested them.

Is my API key safe, and can I revoke it?

The key is 32 random bytes behind an mcp_ prefix. Mettra stores only its SHA-256 hash, so the full value is shown to you exactly once. Revoking it from your profile takes effect immediately and ends any live session.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Setup is copying one block of text into your AI app and restarting it. After that you ask questions in plain English and the assistant decides which tools to call.

Which marketplaces are covered?

North America and Europe: amazon.com, amazon.ca and amazon.com.mx, plus amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, amazon.fr, amazon.it, amazon.es, amazon.nl, amazon.se and amazon.pl. Ask about an ASIN on any of them and the tools answer the same way.

Does the server expose MCP resources or prompts?

No — tools only, nine of them. If your client shows empty resource and prompt lists, that is expected and not a configuration error.

Over 730 days the price held around $158.94 on average — it dipped to $122.31 and peaked at $179.88, so discounting has been shallow and rare.

Reviews grew from 14 to 271 in that window while the rank stayed in the same band, which reads as steady demand rather than a spike.

The listing scores 68 out of 100. The images carry the product well, but the bullets repeat the title and the A+ block never answers the objection that shows up in the review tags.

Three things to fix first:

Rewrite bullets two and three around use cases instead of restating the title
Add an A+ module that answers the top complaint in the review tags
Move the dimensions shot out of position seven — nobody scrolls that far

Where the config goes: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, or paste the block into claude_desktop_config.json (macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/, Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\).
How you know it worked: Ask a question about an ASIN — a “Calling Mettra” step appears in the reply before the answer.
If it does not: Nothing appeared after saving? Quit the app completely and reopen it — reloading the window is not enough.
